Homemade Popcorn – 6

  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup of high quality popcorn kernels
  • 1 Tbsp or more (to taste) of butter (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Pour the cooking oil into the saucepan and heat it up.

Place a few kernels into the pan and wait for them to pop. Once those pop, pour in the remaining amount of kernels you want to birth into this world only to be consumed.

Cover the saucepan but leave a little bit of room for air to get in. Once the popcorn begins the mass birth, shake the pan back and forth to ensure all kernels are burnt equally.

After several seconds of silence, remove the pan from the heat and begin scooping out the freshly born corn for immediate consumption. Sprinkle them with some salt to counter-act the aftertaste of birth oil.

If you wish to coat the newborns in butter, grab an empty pan, toss the prescribed amount of butter into it and wait for it to melt. Then pour it into a small dish and use a spoon to elegantly pour over the baby corn.
